About Me

Self-important Ramble Page

Hello, my name is Kim and I’m a writing addict. *insert answering “Hi, Kim” here*

I started writing Third Watch Fan Fiction in 2002. I’m not sure when I went from a casual fluff writer to addict. It’s all a haze of tense shifting and misspelled words. Soon I was running pens out of ink and killing trees by the dozens for notebook paper and there was no going back for me.

My first attempt at original fiction was NaNoWriMo in 2004. I failed abysmally at reaching the goal of 50,000 during the month of November, but after that my fan fiction days were numbered. I was free-basing original characters and it felt too good to stop. I finally won the challenge in 2008! Harry of Crack is now available from me and Createspace and at Amazon for purchase!

I went to Martinsville High School where I was kicked out of Honors English. I still can’t diagram a sentence or write an outline. I squeaked by my first attempt at English 101 at Purdue University, but when that credit expired and I retook the class ten years later I argued too much with the teacher to finish. So much for formal education.

Currently I’m a wannabe famous writer and blogger. My starving artist job is working for a steel fabrication company as a bookkeeper (you think I was bad at English? You should see my math grades! Woah!). It’s a good job for a good company with health benefits and it keeps me in laptops and electricity. I’ll keep it.
